Poker-Themed Party
If you are looking to host a party at your place for your friends during the holidays, why not try a poker-themed party. Everybody loves poker and all play poker during the holidays.
You can easily prepare special decorations and favors, costumes or dress attire, games and activities, music, food and drink, etc.
Here are some poker party ideas:
- Print invitations using large deck cards.
- Decorate the place with red and black balloons, printed with hearts, spades, clubs and diamonds.
- Provide poker or casino themed costumes, or make your guests dress black and red, and provide fun jewelry for them to put on.
- Give each guest some poker chips to use for playing a free poker game during the party.
- Give prizes for the player with the most chips at the end of the night.
- Provide sets of non-gambling games for those who don’t wana play poker.
- Play some poker-themed music.
- Provide special food and drinks like those served in a casino.
Online Poker Legal in USA?
Online poker may become legal soon in the USA as a recent ruling by The United States Department of Justice (DoJ) appears to clear the way for online lotteries and poker, by reinterpreting the Wire Act of 1961.
President Barack Obama’s administration has declared two days before Christmas, perhaps unintentionally, that almost every form of intra-state Internet gambling is legal under federal law, and so may be games played interstate and even internationally.
